Titanium diboride (TiB2), also known as Fordlube, is a corrosion resistant ceramic compound made of titanium and boron. It is commonly used on nonferrous materials including aluminum and magnesium alloys. It also provides superior chip flow along with extended wear resistance.
Spiral flutes are constructed with a higher flute angle to remove chips more easily.
